FOOTBALL LEGENDS 2021

Football Legends 2021 strips soccer back to arcade essentials: choose a side, take direct control of one star, and fight through a tournament bracket. Matches run fast and physical, with shots, tackles and goalmouth scrambles arriving in quick succession. Run the bracket against the computer, or hand a second player the other half of the keyboard.

This title is best suited to quick arcade soccer with a friend nearby.

1. Choose your team and select solo, co-op or versus play.
2. Charge at the ball and win possession with a well-timed tackle.
3. Sprint into space, then fire a shot before the defence closes in.
4. Win each tie to advance through the tournament toward the title.

• Arrow keys: Run your player around the pitch
• Spacebar: Shoot, tackle and jump for the ball
• WASD: Second player's movement in shared-keyboard matches

Objectives

• Win matches on the scoreline to progress through the tournament.
• Lift the trophy by taking your team through the whole bracket.

The run ends or fails when

• Losing a knockout tie ends your tournament run.
• Conceding more than you score gives the match to your rival.

• You steer one player at a time while teammates hold their positions.
• Tackles and aerial duels settle possession in tight scrambles.
• Bracket progression raises the quality of the opposition each round.

• Shoot from the edge of the box; waiting lets defenders crowd out the angle.
• Time tackles for the instant the ball leaves your rival's foot rather than charging head-on.
• In versus matches, sit near midfield and punish over-committed attacks.
